e3s is excited to welcome Georgia Hrstich-Mannig to the Freshwater & Marine, and Contaminated Land teams!
Georgia is an Invercargill based environmental scientist with a BSc in Marine Ecology and a MSc in Conservation Biology.
She has over six years of experience as an aquaculture technician working with giant kōkopu (Galaxias argenteus), and running whitebait aquaculture operations including live feed production, larval rearing, water quality monitoring, and broodstock management. More recently, Georgia worked at CH4 Global (Ocean Beach, Bluff) culturing Asparagopsis armata, a red seaweed used as a methane-reducing feed supplement for cattle. Through these roles, she developed valuable practical experience in sustainable aquaculture practices, environmental monitoring, and aquatic ecosystem management.
Georgia has always had a strong interest in marine and freshwater environments and enjoys contributing to projects focused on these ecosystems.
Welcome Georgia!
