It’s sampling season! e3Scientific employee Nana and the freshwater ecology team have been carrying out fieldwork within Lake Dunstan, taking macroinvertebrate samples, assessing the lake bed and water quality and ID’ing macrophytes.

With everything teaming with life, spring and summer are the busy seasons for our ecologist – animals are awakening and breeding, flora are flowering, freshwater conditions are often more stable, and generally warmer stable weather makes fieldwork easier and more effective for capturing diverse species and behaviours.
