We’re pleased to welcome Alex Hurley to e3Scientific as a Terrestrial Ecologist, bringing over 8 years’ experience across private consultancy and public council sectors in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

Alex holds a BSc in Zoology and Physiology and a MSc in Conservation Biology from Massey University. Her experience spans a wide range of terrestrial environments, with projects ranging from residential and rural developments through to large-scale commercial developments, sports facilities, and heritage sites.

Alex has extensive experience in ecological assessments, vegetation and wetland habitat assessments, and fauna surveys. She also brings expertise in ecological impact assessments, ecological management plans, biodiversity net gain assessments, GIS, and bat acoustic monitoring and analysis.

Her strong project management experience includes leading and coordinating field surveys and biodiversity programmes, as well as managing large ecological datasets and their quality assurance. Alex is committed to delivering practical, science-based ecological solutions that balance environmental outcomes with project objectives.
